Man hires company to create his flash mob marriage proposal

Adorable marriage proposal alert: A groom-to-be named Nam Tran proposed to his girlfriend, Trang Vu in the grand tradition of the flash mob. It's pretty freakin' cute, we must say.

According to campus newspaper UCLA Today, Tran brought Vu back to the university where they met to pop the question and asked her family and friends to perform dance routine he had choreographed by a company called Flash Mob America. You can actually pay for this service to "produce" your flash mob by securing rights to music, choreographing the routine, spreading the word through social networking, filming and even writing new music for the event. Can this even be considered flash mobbing, or is it just a highly choreographed surprise?

Suffice it to say, flash mob proposals are nothing new. You could spend all afternoon watching the things on YouTube (here are some to get you started). Despite their ubiquity though, proposing this way still seems like a wildly romantic gesture, if you’re into that whole cheesy public spectacle kinda thing.

How would you feel about a flash mob proposal?
