Okay, looking like EB doesn’t hurt, but whatever. You can achieve a similar sleek effect that is all fabulous you. It takes is a bit of hair oil, a silky blowdry, hairspray, a bit of styling wax, a clear elastic band and bobby pins that match the colour of your hair. Hair stylist David Babaii, whose celeb-client roster includes Kate Hudson and Nicole Kidman, says he was inspired by the slick, high-shine, side-parted styles on the New York Fashion Week 2013 runways at Helmut Lang and Hervé Léger by Max Azria. TIFF 2012: How To Make A Short Ponytail Look Chic à La Emily Bluntemily-blunt-ponytail-TIFF-2012 Babaii prepped Emily’s damp hair with a lightweight hair oil (White Sands Orchids Oil) to enhance shine. During the blowdry, he used a medium paddle brush, lifting the hair at the root for volume and and pulling through the length for a smooth, straight finish. When Emily’s hair was fully dry, he misted it throughout with with an all-day-hold hair spray (IT&LY Pure Definition Hair Spray) to make it easy to manage. He parted it on the left, worked a bit of styling wax (IT&LY Pure Modeling Wax) into the top sections, then smoothed all the hair into a low, off-centre ponytail with a clear elastic band and blonde bobby pins.
