The Prince George Effect Shows No Sign Of Stopping As ANOTHER Of His Outfits Sells Out
Prince George’s style can’t possibly be to everyone’s liking. After all, the Duchess of Cambridge dresses her firstborn in outfits identical to that of those worn by Prince William, when he was a child.
But it would appear that retro fashion
is all the rage as the little prince’s outfits keep on selling out.
The shorts and smock combo that the blonde-haired tot wore to his baby sister’s christening this weekend is just the latest in a long line of his fashion ensembles to sell out in a matter of hours.
George arrived at the church in Norfolk in a vintage-inspired get up, which was designed by Rachel Riley – one of Kate’s go-to childrenswear designers.
The look was virtually the same as an outfit that Wills wore over 30 years ago, when visiting Prince Harry for the first time.
Despite its old school vibe, the smocked set, which rings in at $167, went out of stock in the blink of an eye. But if you're a fan of the set, don't panic as it appears to be available again now.
And it’s not the first of George’s throwback outfits to receive plenty of positive attention.
Kate dressed her son in another outfit reminiscent of one William wore when he was a child at Trooping the Colour in June.
The toddler, who will celebrate his second birthday in a couple of weeks, was dressed in a baby blue outfit with frills for his appearance – echoing the look his father rocked at Her Majesty’s birthday parade in 1984.

Since his birth in 2013, George has caused outfit after outfit to sell out – from an Aden + Anais swaddle cloth to a Cath Kidston tank top. He even made Crocs cool!
