Tallulah Willis has a very unlikely style idol: Christina Aguilera. Copying the singer’s style circa 2015 wouldn’t be so bad (did you see The Voice judge’s trendy white gown at the Oscars recently?) but the 21-year-old instead took inspiration from one of Aguilera’s most iconic looks — but not the good kind of famous, the worst dressed of all time type.

In 2002, the new mom showed up the Video Music Awards in a micro mini skirt, silver chain belt that dipped over the skirt’s very short hemline, a halter top that could hardly be considered a shirt it showed so much, and a sideways white hat. The look should’ve been burned, never to see the light of day again, and purged from the Internet so posterity would never have to see it. But on a Christina Aguilera nostalgia kick, Demi Moore’s daughter recreated the outfit and posted the image to her Instagram. She noted in the caption that the only thing not included in Willis’s version to make the look completely identical: “missing: rosary/chain-belt hybrid.”

Also noticeably left out in Willis’s look? Aguilera’s long dread-like hair dyed platinum blonde and accented with black streaks styled with a few small braids. Long locks would be tough for the celebrity kid to recreate seeing as she shaved her head a few months ago.

While it’s always fun to go down memory lane, perhaps Willis should consider different outfits from Aguilera’s past next time. While she had a lot of missteps, she also got it right a lot. Take, for example, her “Genie in a Bottle” days when she had every girl begging their moms to buy them a crop top turtleneck. At least that would be considered a style hit today!
