Shenae Grimes Marries British Model Josh Beech, Wearing Black Wedding Dress
Wedding bells have rung for Shenae Grimes!
The "90210" actress married British model Josh Beech on May 10, just outside of London, England, Grimes confirmed on Twitter.
"I now pronounce us Mr. and Mrs. Beech! Ahhh! Xx" the actress posted along with this photo from their big day.
Grimes, 23, certainly did not, however, have a traditional wedding.
Why? Because the bride wore a black Vera Wang gown down the aisle! According to Us Weekly, the ceremony took place at a countryside Tudor manor, where a source says house music was playing as Grimes made her way up to the alter.
The unique sounding ceremony certainly is in line with what Grimes revealed about her wedding day a few months ago. "We're just kind of taking it easy, doing it our way," she told Life & Style. "We're very, very low-key. We just want to get married. I think the wedding part is more about family than it is about us."
Grimes and Beech, 25, were quietly dating for several months before going public in July 2012. By December, the happy couple announced their engagement.
As for Grimes's wedding dress, she isn't the first Hollywood star to wear black down the aisle. Sarah Jessica Parker donned a black gown when she wed Matthew Broderick in 1997, a decision the fashion icon says she still regrets to this day.
“[I'd] white it up," Parker told Harpers Bazaar about what she would wear if the two ever renew their vows. "I’d wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like I should have worn that day."
