Jennifer Lawrence recently lashed out about Hollywood’s impossible weight standards, saying she would be considered “obese” among her peers in the biz. Well, she looked nothing short of perfect to us when she donned this blueish-gray Alexander Wang mini – along with funky Alexandre Birman sandals – for an appearance on “The Tonight Show.” Making the dress extra flattering were its smooth lines – it fit her like a glove! – and the color, which really complemented her new, dark tresses. Taylor Swift – who recently gushed about her love of dresses – surprised us when she stepped onto the red carpet at the American Music Awards in this sexy Zuhair Murad mini. While she has been wearing lots of metallics lately, the form-fitting design was a bold departure from what we’re used to seeing the “Red” songstress sport. Though she's known to be a big fan of flared frocks and long gowns that occasionally feature trains, Swift looked absolutely stunning in the lace dress, which hugged her body perfectly and allowed her to flaunt her endless legs. Katy Perry has a style all her own – bright, bold, and over the top. So this floral Dolce & Gabbana dress, which the singer wore to the Dream Foundation Celebration of Dreams, was like a breath of fresh spring air! While flowery frocks can tend to be a tad boring (remember the Gunne Sax trend in the ’80s?), the pop star's gown had a lot of flair – from the gemmed belt to the sheer skirt. Bringing together the whole look was Perry’s minimal makeup. In this case, less was certainly more! (11/16/2012)

We are so used to seeing Kristen Stewart in Converse sneakers and hooded sweatshirts that we were dazzled by her glam turn during the press tour for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.” The highlight was this glittery gold Elie Saab dress, which she wore to the Berlin debut of the flick. The high-waisted gown boasted a vertical pattern on the skirt, which elongated her body, and a thigh-high slit that gave fans a glimpse at her gams. Very “Kristen” though were her tresses – pulled back in a loose ponytail – with her hair tie hanging around her wrist. Later in the evening, she also ditched her Christian Louboutin open-toe booties for ... black sneakers. (11/16/2012)

Kanye West must love leather, because we feel like that’s all Kim Kardashian has been wearing lately. (We’re still recovering from the harem pants.) So this Sally LaPointe printed peplum mini with butterfly sleeves that the reality TV queen wore to receive the key to city of North Miami was a pleasant surprise. Not only was the pattern fun, but the fit was flattering – and a little flirty, too. As for her makeup, sometimes when she hits the red carpet it seems like she’s spent hours in front of the mirror (and if you watch "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," you know she often does!), but we thinks she looks so much prettier when she opts for a more natural look such as this. Florence Welch must have a closet just for her massive collection of kaftans – it’s a style she’s embraced both on stage and off. But while celebrating Kate Moss’ book launch, she ditched the flowing sleeves for a fab, floor-length print creation from Marc Jacobs. The singer wisely opted to forego accessories and let the chic white-and-nude dress speak for itself. (11/15/2012)

It’s hard to pull off both feathers and extensive beading (that’s a lot going on), but Bérénice Marlohe did just that at the Japanese premiere of “Skyfall.” No wonder she’s Bond girl material! The French actress’ detailed LBD fit her to a T, while her heels added extra sparkle. Meanwhile, Marlohe's messy updo had a romantic vibe, but it didn’t steal the spotlight away from her party frock, which was certainly the main attraction. (11/19/2012)
