Nicole Kidman dons ‘My Fair Lady’-inspired ensemble

Nicole Kidman channeled one of Hollywood's legendary leading ladies on Saturday, when she dressed as Audrey Hepburn's character from the 1964 movie "My Fair Lady." Kidman donned the getup to attend the Melbourne Cup, a major Australian horse race, at Flemington Racecourse in her native Australia, where the entire crowd was decked out for the 2012 AAMI Victoria Derby Day. The "Moulin Rouge" star's themed ensemble featured a white lace dress with a black and white striped bow, black peep-toe heels, and a matching handbag by her favorite designer L'Wren Scott, all topped off with a dramatic hat by Stephen Jones.

"It is such a fun film and it is a fun day, and we just wanted to have some fun," Kidman told The Australian newspaper. "It's one of my favorite movies. We decided to do something that was fun and a bit different."

Kidman, who took her parents to the soiree, was sans hubby Keith Urban, who was back at the couple's Nashville home with their young daughters Sunday and Faith. "I wish I could have brought Keith but he was at the Country Music Awards ... and taking our kids trick or treating," she explained.
