But plenty of pet owners - and veterinary professionals - can't imagine drifting off to sleep without their kitty or Cocker Spaniel cuddled up nearby. We polled Vetstreet readers and veterinary professionals[i] (such as veterinarians, veterinary technicians and office managers), and as it turns out, a lot of you do like to catch some shuteye with your furry friends. A whopping 83 percent of the readers and 75 percent of the veterinary professionals we polled said they allow a pet to share the bed. It's hard to believe, but, yes, friends, the end of Kate, William, and George's time in New Zealand and Australia is upon us. The royal family will be returning to England on Friday, which means our embarrassment of riches-in the form of Kate outfits, George facial expressions, and awkward William "jokes"-is about to come to a close. At least we have Prince George iPhone wallpaper options to last us through the summer. Yes, it's no secret that rock stars, even low rent ones who still "crash" in their mother's basement, fair significantly better the rest of us non-musical mortals in the romantic arts. Keith Richards may be 100-years-old and resemble something straight out of Tales From the Crypt, but he will still attract more women than you. And the more complex the musical composition, the more likely they will be attracted to the composer. In other words, an axe-wielding virtuoso like Muse's Matt Bellamy would fair better with the ladies than, say, Johnny Ramone banging out three power chords for two minutes a pop. So yes, while it can't be denied that Paris is, in fact, a city for lovers, it apparently is also getting a new reputation. Lovers, enamored with the romance that will most certainly sweep them off their feet for all of time, scratch their initials (or purchase a rather expensive inscribed version) onto a lock, fasten it on a "love bridge" along the Seine River, and forever throw away the key into the shining waters of Paris - love evermore, with no option to go back, well, because the key is gone. They're dubbed "love locks," and they are filling up the bridges of Paris as eternal symbols of love. A Paris travel website details that there are two main bridges in the city dedicated to keeping the flame going for the lovers that cross - the Pont des Arts, set aside for "committed love," while the Pont de l'Archevêché is for a lover.
