Mom Hilary Duff Posts Bikini Selfie: 'We Still Got It'

Hilary Duff made a splash on Instagram Sunday when she posted a selfie in a barely-there black bikini. The actress, whose son Luca will turn three this week, addressed all moms in the body-positive caption: “Hey #moms #westillgotit ❤ #loveyourbod”
Duff, who stars in the upcoming TV Land series Younger, has been open in the past about her efforts to lose the weight she gained while pregnant with Luca. “There are some women who look the same right after — I think they are freaks of nature! I don’t know how that happens,” she told Parents magazine in October 2012. “I’m not one of those people. It takes your body nine months to get there — really 10 months. So I’m trying to be patient but I’m working hard. And I think now more than ever, I appreciate my body and what it’s done for me.”

These days Duff, who, according to E!, took the pic while vacationing with Luca, is obviously — and deservedly — proud of her body, and is encouraging other moms to feel the same. “There is way too much pressure on women these days,” she told Health in November. “Oh my God, everyone was so hard on me because it took me a year and a half to get my body back. … This is the body that I have. I have a very athletic build, and I am so proud of what my body has done for me. I had the best, healthiest, strongest pregnancy. And I feel good about myself.”

Hilary Duff is a single mom to Luca, who she co-parents with her ex, Mike Comrie.
Duff’s Instagram stream is mostly photos of Luca, who she co-parents with her ex, professional hockey player Mike Comrie, and more covered-up selfies, but the actress’s fans are showing support for her latest post. “Us moms can still look great! Awesome job,” wrote @jewboo888. “You are inspiring, you really worked for that body and over a reasonable amount of time for a ‘normal’ mom. You are awesome!” wrote @flippenkatie.

Other moms, however, mentioned they’re still working at following Duff’s #loveyourbod lead. “I’m still struggling with this concept and my kiddo is two!” wrote mrs.j.king. “Pshhh she still got it! Me… I’m a work in progress,” wrote @amajacobs.

While Duff, who also shows off her strong physique on the cover of April’s Cosmopolitan, is loving her look, there’s nothing she loves more than being a mom. In an Instagram photo also posted Sunday, just hours before the bikini selfie, Duff is seen giving her little guy a kiss on the beach. The caption: “Never knew love before…”
