Is Kendall Jenner's Calvin Klein Campaign Imminent?

Page Six is reporting that Kendall Jenner’s the new face of Calvin Klein, hot on the heels, um, abs, of Justin Bieber. Sources tell us it’s true. In fact, they say the campaign was shot months ago and Calvin Klein is still deciding whether or not to run the campaign. We’ve reached out to the brand for confirmation, but the real question is, why would they sit on images of Jenner, arguably the world’s most famous model at this particular moment?

It’s Jenner’s world, and we’re just living in it. After her debut season last year, she scored an Estee Lauder contract. The brand’s president admitted the move was hugely based on Jenner being “the ultimate instagirl” with “extraordinary social media power.” Her high-fashion momentum continues—she’s walked everything from Oscar de la Renta to Chanel this season, and it would make sense for Calvin Klein to capitalize on the same strengths, especially after they did so so successfully with Justin Bieber in January.

A near-nude Bieber helped the brand gain more than 3.5 million Twitter followers, not to mention all the millennial attention one could want. Jenner yields the same kind of social power, and reaches that coveted demographic. So releasing the Jenner campaign is a no brainer, right? Jenner must think so, the 19-year-old model’s teased out Instagram pics wearing Calvin Klein’s famous cotton undergarments, just like Bieber did leading up to his oh-so-controversial bulge-bearing debut. And to add, our sources say that the two close friends—who’ve been seen out at restaurants, concerts, clubs, and even church together—were shot at the same time. A side-by-side of Bieber and Jenner in Calvin Klein skivvies would throw the world into a tizzy; though it isn’t wholly impossible!

To be a Calvin Klein girl means so much more than scoring a killer contract—it’s joining the ranks of legendary women like Kate Moss, Christy Turlington, and Brooke Shields.

Update: A spokesperson from Calvin Klein replied, “We don’t comment on rumors.”
