We could go on and on about the popularity of pink coats and bucket bags in the year 2014, or we could just show you proof. There’s no better way to judge 2014’s top fashion trends than by crunching the numbers on what everyone actually bought. E-commerce site Lyst analyzed their more than 35 million consumer visits to tease out what everyone was shopping for—and wearing—the past 365 days.

Mansur Gavriel bucket bags and cool kicks ruled, but there were some surprises as well. Namely, the midi skirt—it might have been the talk of the town, but people still preferred minis more than any other length.
