Heidi Klum Wants You to Know She Isn’t Responsible for Disrespecting the Queen

Heidi Klum would never disrespect the queen and she wants you to know that.

Three models posed outside of Buckingham Palace in yellow, blue, and violet lingerie from the 41-year-old’s lingerie collection. Even though Klum is in London bringing her underwear and bra line to the United Kingdom, she claims she had nothing to do with the stunt. “Nearly fell of my chair when i saw this. Who did this??? Not me!!! #NotCool,” the new designer wrote on Twitter after spotting the image.

Tourists looking to take in the changing of the guard were instead met with scantily-clad ladies parading in front of the palace gates, and the view from the London Eye, where the three women also showed off the intimate items, was much more naked than usual. But why exactly Klum is distancing herself from the marketing ploy is unclear. It could be that the young women were outside with barely any protection from the elements on a cold and windy day. Meant to mimic Vogue UK’s recent cover featuring Suki Waterhouse, Cara Delevignge, and Georgia May Jagger in similarly-colored undergarments, the exploit could have also been unauthorized.

While some on Twitter and in the comments section of Klum’s Instagram don’t think it’s a big deal and note that all publicity is good publicity, others agree with how Klum is handling the situation.

The collection, which is a joint venture between New Zealand-based brand Bendon and the German-born model and TV personality, came about following Elle Macpherson’s departure with the company in 2014. This trick might be a bump in the road for Klum’s new venture, but she sees to have the situation on lock. She does know a thing or two about posing nearly-naked after all.
