Frozen Birthday Cake Fail Leaves Little Girl Devastated (And Internet Creeped Out)

A child’s birthday cake is a pretty big deal, for that all-important cake-cutting pic if nothing else. And so you want it to be just right – especially if you’ve shelled out plenty for it.

So it’s easy to understand why one family were left shocked after they were delivered a nightmare version of a Frozen cake – instead of the looks-almost-too-good-to-eat version they were expecting.

Family member Briana posted the pic of the creepy cake to Reddit, to share how awful it looks.

According to Briana, the family gave an unnamed baker the task of creating an Elsa cake, basing it on a design that McGreevey Cakes has posted online. She posted a photo of the cake they had ordered alongside the one they received, with the caption, “The cake that was ordered and the cake that arrived.”

Complete with (what looks like) layers of fake tan, eyes that are incredibly set apart and banana yellow hair, it doesn’t really resemble Elsa. In fact, it’s enough to terrify any Frozen fan.

The post has since gone viral, with Frozen fans questioning the baker’s skill and the lack of craftsmanship. Within hours of being uploaded by Briana, the post had received over 2,000 comments.

“It really makes me wonder what the baker thinks when they finish. Do they think, ‘ah yes that's perfect!’ Or do they think ‘well s***. maybe they won't notice”. I have to imagine there is a fair bit of panic involved in the creative process too,” wrote one Reddit user.

But don’t worry, there are some ah-mazing cakes out there – as these designs prove.
