Fashion Faceoff: Brooke Burke-Charvet vs. Kristen Bell
When she's not hosting "Dancing With the Stars," Brooke Burke-Charvet manages to be a hands-on mom to her four children (she has two daughters from a previous relationship, and a boy and a girl with her current hubby, David Charvet). Parenthood is something she has in common with Kristen Bell, who recently welcomed daughter Lincoln with hubby Dax Shepard in March. Another thing the celeb moms have in common? Their street style!
What they wore: A chalet-inspired black and white jacquard knit hooded sweater from NYDJ that retails for $198.
When they wore it: The "Veronica Mars" star, 33, kept warm in the knit piece while walking her dogs Lola and Mr. Shakes on Oct. 3. A month later, the former model sported the same cozy draped cardigan while running errands in L.A Nov. 12.
How they styled it: Both women used the cardigan as a coat, but Burke-Charvet, 42, kept to the sweater's woven color scheme, wearing a black shirt and black boots with skinny blue jeans and a long silver chain. Bell added some color, pairing black pants with a navy blue button down and similarly toned boots.
Judge's scorecard: It's a close call, but we have to say Burke wore it better! While we appreciate Bell's use of color to spruce up the look, her black pants blend in so much you can't tell where they begin and the sweater ends. The television host's styling makes the white-topped cardigan really pop against her black shirt, while the blue jeans make sure the sweater's black bottom doesn't get lost.
