The Dark Berry Lips Trend at TIFF 2012: Who Wore it Best?

Anyone can wear bright; dark can make lips look teensy-weensy. But the more I see this Fall’s dark-berry lip, the less I care about teensy-weensy. Petite lips are pretty too — if you love this Fall’s rich, wine-soaked hues, wear them! Jennifer Lawrence (Hunger Games), Catherine Keener (40-Year-Old-Virgin) and Emma Watson (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) all wore a deep berry lip shade on their respective TIFF red carpets last week. I love it on all of them; do you have a preference? One of my favourites for this look is the Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Bramble ($24, Sephora), a blackcurrent shade. Its natural formula is juiced up with the antioxidant resveratrol, as much as you’d find in five glasses of red wine. (Hey, you can drive while wearing Bramble.) Additional options: Lancôme Rouge in Love lipstick in Midnight Rose ($30, lancome.ca), Marcelle Rouge Xpression lipstick in Obsession ($11.95, marcelle.com), Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick in Fig ($22, sephora.com).
