Comedian Amy Schumer Left Her Server a 1,000 Percent Tip

Comic Amy Schumer is not only a funny lady but also an extremely generous tipper. According to the New York Post, Schumer dined at Peter’s Clam Bar in Long Island, New York over the weekend and left her server, Ryan, a big tip. A source tells the paper that while dining at the restaurant, theInside Amy Schumer star got into an “engaging, animated conversation with her server.”

Ryan revealed to the comedian/Chopped parody master that he was a college student working two jobs to pay for school. When Schumer received her $49 dollar bill, she left Ryan a whopping $500 tip, which works out to about 1000 percent more than the standard 20 percent tip.

Schumer is giving that merry band of megatippersTipsForJesus a run for their tipping money. Over the years, the anonymous-over tippers have left a number of extravagant tips at restaurants across the country. Last year, after dining at a restaurant in Indiana, the crew left their server a $5,000 tip on a $368 tab. Shortly before that, TipsForJesus dropped a $10,000 tip on a $9,000 bill at Galatoire’s in New Orleans.
