Woman spends $25,000 on plastic surgery to look like Jennifer Lawrence

A 30-year-old Texas woman named Kitty has taken her love of actress Jennifer Lawrence to new heights.

The dog trainer and mother has undergone extensive plastic surgery, spending over $25,000 on six procedures in an effort to more closely resemble the Academy Award winner.

Kitty says people have always told her she looks like Lawrence, but she was motivated to further complete the look with surgery.

"I'm not trying to look like Pamela Anderson here during her 'Baywatch' days. I'm trying to look like a very capable, very personal level-headed female who is an Academy Award winner," Kitty tells ABC.

She says since giving birth to her daughter she hasn't been comfortable with her body, but is careful to note that her desire to look like Lawrence does not make her crazy in anyway.

"I am a strong woman...I am in charge of how I look and I can change that and then change that again if I want," she explains.

Kitty went under the knife for six hours worth of surgery including liposuction, breast augmentation, rhinoplasty and fat grafts to her cheeks and buttocks.

After spending several weeks in recovery she claims to be happy with the results, saying that she looks even more like Lawrence now.

"I thought I had a resemblance to Jennifer Lawrence before my surgery and now I think after, my features are more refined to where they resemble her more."

While she admits the money could have been put towards a university fund for her five-year-old daughter, she believes she has plenty of working years ahead of her to make up for the loss in savings.

Kitty joins a long list of other women who have received thousands of dollars worth of plastic surgery in an attempt to look like their favourite celebrity.

It is a trend that her surgeon, Dr. Franklin Rose from Utopia Plastic Surgery in Houston, says can be motivated by both healthy and unhealthy desires.

"By this point in my career, after evaluating 14-15,000 new consultations, you can tell very quickly within a matter of a minute if the patient is well adjusted or not well adjusted for whatever the procedure they might present," he says.

Rose also performed $25,000 worth of surgery on an 18-year-old woman who desired to look like Lindsay Lohan.

Another woman who claims to be obsessed with Kim Kardashian's body spent $30,000 in surgery to sculpt her face and body to resemble her idol.
