Taco Bell is now making… socks

This might be the only valid excuse ever to wear socks with sandals.

Taco Bell recently announced its next business venture (aside from the waffle taco, of course) -- the fast food company will now be making socks.

America's favourite taco hut released a photo on Tuesday to spread the word of their impending new product, which isn't yet available for sale.

The garish socks come in two styles -- brown/yellow and black/purple -- both with cartoon tacos and Mexican pizzas scattered from toe to calf.

Taco Bell says they're a joint venture with The Hundreds, an online magazine and clothing retailer.

The footies are hardly the first bizarre clothing item Taco Bell has come up with -- it turns out they've been making taco-themed threads this whole time on their Live Más store (yes, this is a real thing).

Profits from the Live Más (translation: Live More) store go to the Taco Bell Foundation for Teens, which aims to "empower teens to pursue their education and careers" and "engage teens in healthy habits."
