Seattle woman ate only Starbucks food for a year

A Seattle woman who challenged herself to eat only Starbucks food for the duration of 2013 has successfully completed her mission.

Why?

Well, we're not really sure.

"I am fearless and wanted to explore new things in my life," the 40-year-old woman, who legally goes by the name Beautiful Existence, tells The Daily Mail. "I love to test the water and each time I challenge myself, I learn a lot."

It all started on January 1st, 2013, when the blogger started her bizarre mission, which restricted her diet to foods that could only be purchased at Starbucks and Starbucks-like chains, such as Roy Street Coffee, Tazo Tea and Evolution Fresh.

While she still cooked for her two children, every single breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack came from the coffee chains, costing her between $500 and $600 a month on pre-packaged salads, wraps and drinks.

"In the last month, in the last couple weeks, it's been really difficult. People had pizza at the office last week and I was dying," she tells the New York Daily News. "I'm happy to be able to eat whatever I want (again)."

Existence chronicled her experience on her blog, for1yearofmylife.com, and shared photos of her meals on Instagram.

This isn't the first time the blogger has taken on a year-long challenge. In 2011, she vowed to only buy things from Goodwill, and in 2012 she challenged herself to take every piece of advice offered by Parents magazine.

She claims aside from her barista sister, she has no affiliation to Starbucks, and chose it simply because the popular chain was first launched in Seattle.

This week, Existence celebrated the completion of her challenge with another Seattle favourite -- fish and chips.

"My taste buds have been freaking out for the last 24 hours," says Existence. "Starbucks doesn't really have anything that's fried, and you can only eat so much after you haven't had stuff like that for a year."

Now that Beautiful Existence has completed her mission, she has plans to tackle a new one -- learn how to play 80 recreational sports.
