Shine OnReaders' choice: Best dressed at the Golden Globes
From Dakota Johnson’s glittery Chanel frock to Amal Alamuddin’s glam vintage Dior look, stars showed off their best looks at the 72nd annual Golden Globes on Sunday night.
While some celebs flopped on the red carpet, we saw dozens of gorgeous gowns — a good indication that 2015 is off to a fashionable start.
On Sunday, we asked Yahoo Canada users to weigh in and vote for their favourite red carpet look of the night.
And the winner is…Kate Hudson!
Twenty nine per cent of voters thought that the 35-year-old actress deserved the best-dressed title for her curve-hugging Versace gown.
Not far behind was Amy Adams, who won over 22 per cent of voters in her icy blue dress, which was also designed by Versace.
In third place came Amal Alamuddin, with 17 per cent of votes.
"Amal Clooney got it right," writes one user.
"There’s only one woman, of the pix I’ve seen, who is dressed like a successful, intelligent adult who respects herself and her own privacy, and that’s Amal Alamuddin Clooney," adds another.
Our users also made great cases for some celebrities we initially overlooked, including Chrissy Teigen (in Zuhair Murad), Lupita Nyong’o (in Giambattista Valli), Jane Fonda (in Versace) and Kate Beckinsale (in Elie Saab), who all looked beautiful.
