Posing for photos makes Kate Middleton and Prince William feel awkard

Kate Middleton may look flawless at just about every occasion – but even she feels awkward posing for photos!

On Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge looked picture perfect in front of the Uluru rock formation, one of Australia’s most breathtaking landmarks.

But, according to US Weekly, they felt a little awkward while smiling for the camera.

“So, what shall we talk about?” Prince William reportedly joked to Kate as they smiled for the cameras. They then staged a conversation, with Will filling in awkward silence saying things like “So, that’s something there,” and Kate doing endearingly awkward hand gestures.

The Duke and Duchess’s trip to Uluru (formerly Ayers Rock) was reminiscent of another royal trip. In 1983, Prince Charles and Princess Diana posed in front of the same rock formation.

For the sweltering Australian Outback, Kate recycled a printed grey and white dress from Hobbs, which she previously wore in 2012.

This is far from the first time the Duchess has shown off her endearingly awkward side – we’ve seen it many times like when she was denied a handshake….

or got super excited about ping pong…

or ducked down because she was too tall.

After their trip to Ayers Rock, Will and Kate settled in for a night of “glamping” under the stars. The royal tour will resume on Wednesday.
