Newlyweds use cute childhood photo on wedding invitation, then recreate it at wedding

Boston couple Jake Kantrowitz and Sarah Truitt, both 26, have known each other since they were three and recently married on July 27.

It's the sort of news that can soften even the hardest of hearts. But perhaps what makes them even more adorable is that they recreated a touching childhood photo, which shows Truitt giving googly-eyes to Kantrowitz. They used a merry-go-round childhood photo on their wedding invitation, and then on their wedding day, they stood the same position on a different merry-go-round to recreate the photo.

Since both images were posted on Reddit on Thursday by a friend who attended the wedding, the images have gone viral with over 1,800 comments and 2,800 upvotes.

“I’ve had the ‘Save the Date’ up on my fridge since they sent it out because it was so cute, so when I saw they recreated it, I thought it would be instant karma on Reddit,” friend Levi Albert of San Francisco tells ABC.

He also says that their wedding was the most comfortable and inviting he had ever attended.

While honeymooning in Costa Rica, and upon hearing the news that the photo was trending on Reddit, Truitt tweeted: “Omg. I am really excited / a little embarrassed at the same time!!! Amaaaaaaaazing.”

"We have simply picked up where we left off. It's like being teenage sweethearts all over again. It's as though we have never been apart," Eileen says.
