Much Music Video Awards trend: Curve-hugging, bodycon dresses

Stars stepped out on the red carpet at the 2013 Much Music Video Awards on Sunday wearing everything from sparkly vests to mermaid costumes.

But one trend noticeably reigned supreme on the red carpet: short, curve-hugging bodycon dresses.

Taylor Swift, fresh off a two-day concert stint in Toronto looked amazing in a white and black cage dress that showed off her flawless body (we think she could give Pippa Middleton a run for her money when it comes to backsides!). She complimented the look with black Christian Louboutin heels, a smokey eye, red lips and Brigitte Bardot-esque waves. She sure has come a long way since her days of wearing sequined, floor-length gowns, and we love Taylor’s more grown-up, risqué look.

She wasn’t the only one to turn heads on the red carpet, though. Pop icon Demi Lovato, who has made headlines for her positive body image, wore a little black dress on the red carpet. sho and tight dress. She opted for long sleeves and a higher neckline.

“Pretty Little Liars” actress Shay Mitchell also rocked a curve-hugging frock – and she was named best dressed by Callianne and Samantha Beckerman. She switched things up with a bold print and cutout midsection.

Actress Lauren Vandervoort also jumped on the bodycon dress bandwagon – she looked white hot in a super tight dress.

What do you think of this curve-hugging trend?
