Man proposes with thousands of Post-it notes

Just when we thought marriage proposals couldn't get any more creative with underwater, storybook, and movie trailer ones regularly making the news, along comes Colorado man Brett Beutler with his sticky note proposal.

Beutler, 26, used 8,000 Post-it notes covered in declarations of love to create a marriage proposal wall for his long-time girlfriend Megan Loosli, 24. He wrote "I love you" on each Post-it note, which took several months, and then stuck them to his girlfriend's living room wall using different colour notes to spell out the words, "Will you marry me?"

“I came home from work and walked in the door, and wow, it was ridiculous,” Loosli tells Good Morning America. “We had picked out the ring and everything, but he gave me this story that it takes a couple weeks to actually get it, so I was thinking July. But then I walked in, and I was shocked for sure.”

It took seven hours for Beutler and three friends to put the Post-it wall together.

"It was definitely a labor of love,” says his mother, Deanna Beutler.

It turns out that Beutler isn't the only one to transform his girlfriend's living room into a marriage proposal haven.

One lovestruck guy turned his girlfriend's living room into a Super Mario-themed living room, where she had to bonk her head on a box that released the ring before he popped the question.
