Groom’s great reaction to seeing bride goes viral

When Jai Kamat first saw his bride walking down the aisle toward him, he couldn't hide his excitement.

"You always want to watch the groom first," photographer Lauren Benson, who captured the now-viral photos of Kamat, tells ABC News. "I had my shutter going rapid fire and got some hilarious shots."

On her website, Benson, a cousin of Kamat's, calls the groom's expressiveness "kind of a family trait."

Yesterday, Kamat's best man, Jim Hearne, posted the photos of the animated groom on Reddit, where they were an instant hit.

One Redditor even made a GIF of Kamat's expressions.

"That’s just how I am," Kamat, 26, tells ABC News. "Seeing it plastered on the Internet is kind of strange."

Kamat, an illustrator who lives in New York City, married his college sweetheart, Julia, on Memorial Day at World Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

"When those doors opened and she walked out it was kind of surreal," the groom recalls. "Everyone was there, all our friends and family, and I was really happy and trying to hold back tears at the same time."

"It was a lot to take in at once."
