Former plus-size model Crystal Renn transforms for Korean magazine cover

American fashion model Crystal Renn, who was once praised for her success as a plus-size, graced the cover of W Korea's March issue looking less like her former self than ever—but for the first time in a while, not because of her weight. A major departure from her usual dark hair, dark brows and enviable cheekbones, she appears utterly unrecognizable in her Louis Vuitton eyelet dress, with a blunt yellow bob, bleached-out eyebrows, turquoise eye shadow and fuchsia lips.

While being a chameleon is an usually seen as an asset in the fashion world, Renn has taken that characteristic one step further as her struggles with weight have led to drastically fluctuating sizes and her public image has shifted right along with it. Once a role model for plus-size women at a size 16, her major slim-down in the last couple years has upset a lot of her former fans. Responding to the criticisms, Renn recently told ET, "I've been a double-zero at 95 pounds, and I've been all the way up to a size 16, and everything inbetween. [Now I'm] a six, eight, sometimes a 10 depending on what designer I'm wearing. And that's an interesting place to be in fashion, where extremes are the norm."

Renn's transformation is nothing short of shocking. In 2009 she released a tell-all book called Hungry: A Young Model's Story of Appetite, Ambition and the Ultimate Embrace of Curves, yet recently she attended the launch party for the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition which she'll be starring in. In that edition, she looks no larger than her fellow swimsuit bombshells.

Should this be cause for concern? What do you think about Crystal Renn's extreme weight loss?
