‘Disastrous wedding pic’ goes viral

Tyler Foster knew it was a bad idea, but it was too late.

The groomsman was already mid-air when he knew his adventurous wedding-photo pose wasn't going to end well.

"I was kind of thinking I wish I could just stay up here and fly away," Foster, 28, from Spokane, Washington, tells ABC News.

Foster, a groomsman in his cousin's destination wedding in Jamaica, leapt into the air for a photo — and ended up splitting his pants and kicking a bridesmaid in the head.

"I whacked the bridesmaid in the head and split my pants right at the peak of my jump," he says.

The photographer captured the hilarious disaster on camera. Foster posted the photo on Reddit, where it quickly went viral. More than 1,000 comments have been posted, including this one that looked on the bright side:

"Let's admire the fact that OP is almost jumping over this lady's head."

Foster reassures ABC News viewers that the bridesmaid wasn't injured by his awkward jump.

"She was laughing, I guess, after she picked herself up," he says. "But she wasn't hurt or anything."

We're guessing she's not the first person to get (potentially) injured at a wedding:

Other wedding-day disasters we've cringed over include the best man losing the wedding ring at the altar, a bride toppling down a hill into a grave, the bride getting arrested, and a bouquet toss going very, very wrong — and causing a plane crash.

And while Foster's now-infamous photo might be an awkward one, at least the photograph itself isn't a disappointment.

It could be worse.

Unlucky couple Thomas and Anneka Geary paid a photography firm $1,200 for what turned out to be the "worst wedding pictures ever." The photos were blurry, ill-composed, and not a single one included the groom's parents.

We'd choose a great photo of an embarrassing moment over bad photos of a special day any day.

(It should be noted that some of the "jumping" pics at Tyler's cousin's wedding turned out very well.)
