Here comes the bride — and her 80 bridesmaids

Brides-to-be, if choosing your bridal party is proving to be difficult, you could always adopt one bride's strategy: just ask everyone.

Indecisive dance teacher Katie Dalby, 26, didn't want to choose just one of her students to be a bridesmaid — so she asked them all.

"It just couldn't have been fair to choose two or three of them so the only solution was to invite 74 of them — I didn't want to exclude anyone," she tells the Daily Mail.

Dalby exchanged vows with 37-year-old firefighter Norman Gooch at St. Nicholas Church in Harwich, Essex, England, on Saturday, surrounded by a record-setting 80 bridesmaids, ages 2 to 17, all dressed in pink.

Among her bridal attendants were 74 members of her Boogie Shoes Dance Academy, three sisters-in-law, her niece, her cousin, and her best friend.

Dalby tells ITV News that her young students had been asking to be part of her big day.

"A few of them asked me if they could be a bridesmaid and I kept saying they could. When I got engaged the mums came to me and I had told them they could be bridesmaids and so I had to yes 'yes' to all of them. There were 80," she says.

Dalby's new husband says he was excited his wife's students could all be there.

"I think it's nice for them because they're such a big part of Katie's dance school. She's been promising it all the way from the beginning. and as the school's got bigger, the list's got longer," Gooch tells ITV News.

A mother of one of the young bridesmaids tells the Daily Mail that her daughter was ecstatic to be involved in the massive bridal party.

"My daughter was thrilled that she got to be one of Katie's bridesmaids — it was such a typically kind thing for her to do to involve the youngsters in her special day."
