Bully apologizes to victim after seeing his marriage proposal video

It's not every day that victims of bullying get a heartfelt apology from their attacker.

Hollywood actor Lucas Bane was recently moved to tears by the apology of his former high school bully who contacted him after seeing Bane's viral marriage proposal video online.

"His apology felt like it spoke for all the people who used to pick on me," Bane tells The Daily Grind. "Like there was a sad little boy inside me and somebody went up to him and said, 'Hey buddy. Don't worry anymore. We like you.' It was really healing."

Bane and his fiance David Devora got engaged in a public spectacle that involved the police shutting down a major city street so a bunch of dancers and friends could bust their moves before Bane popped the question.

It was all captured on a video that went viral, eventually being seen by the former bully anonymously named "B".

Bane said he started to tear up just from reading B's name, even before reading his full message.

"I just knew that this was going to be a good note, and when I read the words and his follow-up response, I sobbed. That sounds dramatic but it's true. A good cry on-and-off for upwards of an hour," he tells The Daily Grind.
