Ashley Diana Morris: Canadian model nabs coveted job as the new face of Guess

Iconic fashion label Guess has selected their next platinum Guess Girl, and this time the buxom blond is a Canadian lady from Vancouver, B.C.

Ashley Diana Morris was plucked from obscurity by Guess director Paul Marciano. Vogue photographer Odette Sugarman found Morris, who had never modelled before, in Vancouver and immediately referred her to Marciano, who flew her to Los Angeles. He knew right away that he had found his next star.

“This feels like I won the super bowl of modelling,” says Morris in a press release. “When Paul Marciano said that I will be one of the most recognized faces in the world because of Guess, I felt like I was following in the footsteps of women who I dreamed of being like since I was a little girl."

Morris will indeed be following in some pretty famous footsteps: Anna Nicole Smith, Claudia Schiffer, Kate Upton, Alyssa Miller and Amber Heard were all Guess Girls before her.

The 5’9 actress and model was born in Toronto and has an honours degree in English literature and theatre from University of Toronto. While in school, she landed a role in the short-lived Global television series The Best Years, so it’s not like she’s a total newbie to the world of entertainment.

Morris is definitely new to modelling though, and she’s starting at the top, with a multi-figure lingerie and bikini modelling contract with Guess. Her publicist describes her as “the next Brigitte Bardot for our generation.”

"I'm still pinching myself it's all so surreal," says Morris.
