The Best Beauty Trends for 2014! Plus, Learn How to Do a Smokey Eye

Try out one of these trends this week to change up your look for 2014! Also, learn about which trends to ditch in the new year.

Mally Roncal, of Mally Beauty, says that beauty trends change as often as fashion trends and that it's important to change up your look daily. It's about looking and feeling your best!

You always want to have great, full lashes, natural skin and a few other things to try out.

New Trends for 2014 include:

Radiant Orchid is the color of the year and should be used in lipstick. One lip color can change your whole face. If you want to make your lips look bigger and fuller, get rid of the dark lip liner, use a nude lip liner and fill-in your lip. You can color the whole lip with the liner, but you don't have to. Mally says a lip liner is a great way to keep your lips intact all night long.

Eyebrows are another trend to change up this year. Skinny brows are out for 2014, Mally says. Mally says it makes your face look wider if you have skinny brows and could make your eyes look tired! Full brows brighten your face and you can use a pencil to do this. You can use a pencil and a powder, Mally says.

Smokey eye: Last year it was a little intense, this year, we're toning it down, Mally says. It is much softer and a little more metallic for 2014. It's much softer, much more a "Victoria's Secret" model look, Mally says. Use browns and bronze colors. It's very easy to do on your own. First, you take a shadow stick (which you can get on MallyBeauty.com) and go all over the lid till the crease. Then, blend it a bit with your finger. Take a little bit and go under the eye. Then, take the powder (a shimmery, brown shade) tap off the excess, and then blend back and forth.

Shiny, dewy skin: This is one additional trend that's out for 2014, Mally says. Instead, pick up the satin skin look. Make it matte and not too flat. Ditch the translucent powder and make a face defender (a clear powder) that sets your makeup.
