VIDEO: Unhappy Chipmunk Beats Up Cat Before Escaping

By Deidre Grieves | Pet360.com

Cats are instinctual predators. They love to pounce on pests and they often drag home unwanted presents for their pet parents. Due to a cat's natural abilities, little rodents like mice and rats barely stand a chance

But chipmunks, man-they're crafty. You remember the escapades of Disney's Chip and Dale, don't you? Chip was always dreaming up schemes to make Donald Duck's life miserable.

And this real-life chipmunk is causing all kinds of trouble for a cat, who thought he had caught his dinner. The cat parades down the gravel road with the poor critter hanging from its mouth. When the cat settles down, and lets the chipmunk out of its mouth for the second, the little guy jumps around and scurries away.

But this chipmunk is not one to back down. He seems pretty upset about the fact that he was just carried in a cat's mouth and nearly eaten alive. So the chipmunk doubles back and gives the cat a piece of his mind.

Watch as the feisty little beast wails on the surprised cat before safely scampering away into the woods.

Who's the predator now?
