The Fashion Spot (the fashionspot.com) has rounded up a slew of tips to remember next time you hit the shoe department, but one stood out as completely genius (and, surprisingly, something I'd never heard before!). Style expert Jacqui Stafford tells the site that your best chance of getting a perfect fit comes when you shop at the end of the day instead of the beginning. Your feet and hands swell throughout the day, so if you shop too early, you could end up with a pair that feel way too snug later on. "Once your feet have been moving, your shoes will fit better and be more comfortable," she says.

When you think about it, it makes perfect sense--I'd just never thought about it before! And while you can always retool a slightly-too-big shoe to fit more snugly (that's what insoles are for!), it's much more difficult to get a slightly-too-small shoe to feel comfortable (I'm looking at you, gorgeous Choos wasting away in the back of my closet).

What do you ladies think of this tip? Will it change the way you shop for shoes? What time of day do you usually get your try-on on? Got any other tips we should know about? Share!
