Harper Beckham Charms Vogue’s Anna Wintour at New York Fashion Week

Vogue's longtime editor-in-chief Anna Wintour's icy demeanor may have earned her the nickname "Nuclear Wintour," but little Harper Beckham melted her heart in the front row of mom Victoria's Beckham's runway show at New York Fashion Week on Sunday. The high priestess of haute couture graced the 2-year-old, who was seated next to her on dad David Beckham's lap, with a rare grin before the event commenced.

Proud mom Victoria took a moment from the hectic swirl backstage to share French Vogue's snap of the sweet moment, tweeting:

It probably didn't hurt that Harper, already a fashion show pro, was sitting patiently, wearing a floaty pleated sundress and soft beige leather moccasins by ultra-chic design house Chloe. Dad and Vogue editor-at-large Hamish Bowles witnessed the meeting of the two style divas – one tall, one tiny – all smiles as well.

Although author Lauren Weisberger never directly confirmed the domineering character of fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly in her novel 'The Devil Wears Prada' (a role later played by a fabulously prickly Meryl Streep in the movie version) was based on Wintour, Weisberger did work as Wintour's assistant for nearly a year. "'It wasn't a one-to-one portrayal, but of course my time at Vogue informed the book, there's no denying that," she said in a 2010 interview. Not without a sense of humor, Wintour reportedly wore Prada to a private screening of the film in 2006.

While Wintour, 63, does come off as the type who would gladly pay extra for seat in the no-kids-allowed section of an airplane, she is, in fact, a mother herself. Her son, Charlie, was born in 1985, and his younger sister, 26-year-old Katherine, known as "Bee," often accompanies her mother to fashion shows and the annual Met Gala.
