This week, Heidi Klum treated her daughters Lou, 2, and Leni, 8, to a trip to the Children's Museum of Arts in New York. The threesome looked adorable -- cute dresses, sandals, updos, and the exact same shade of ruby red lipstick.
Not surprisingly, the media responded with "What-was-she-thinking?" mom-bashing commentary, similar to last year, when mommy bloggers got their diaper bags in a bunch after seeing high heel-clad Suri Cruise step out with a bright pink pout.

While makeup-caked 6-year-olds in shows like "Toddlers and Tiaras" make my stomach churn, I think Heidi's matchy lipstick with her girls is actually kind of cute. I can just imagine the girls clamoring for some of their supermodel mom's lipstick, and the excitement on their faces when Klum gave in.
What do you think? Did Klum make a mistake letting her girls go out in public in lipstick? How young is too young for makeup?
