Women Happy To Bare Naked Bodies In Front Of Men But Won’t Go Make-Up Free

So we’re confident enough to send naked selfies to a new man but won’t show off our faces without make-up? It just doesn’t add up to us…

It’s a pretty sad state of affairs when women would rather show their naked bodies to a new man than bare their faces without make-up.

But that’s exactly what’s happening in this day and age according to a new study – hopefully one that doesn’t accurately reflect the female population.

A study of 1,000 women revealed that a quarter of them would happily send a sexy picture to a man they hardly knew – which is shocking enough in itself.

But worryingly, half of them would wait at least three months before going without make-up in front of their partner.

Excuse us while we pick our jaws up from off the floor – but there are two things going on here.

The first thing we can take from this is that women are under intense pressure to woo a man in the early days of a relationship.

And in the Tinder / Snapchat / WhatsApp generation, naked selfies are becoming the norm.

So women are becoming more confident in their own naked bodies - but to the point where they have no qualms in sending a raunchy pic to someone they hardly know.

It’s not that we’re against women being confident in their own skin – but sending naked pictures to strangers, really?

The second is that we’re hiding our naked faces to those very same people – but it means they have no idea what we look like without make-up.

And we understand that many women can be insecure about going make-up free in front of a partner – but these two stats just don’t add up. Naked bodies are OK to show off, but not naked faces?

So basically, we're more insecure than ever - but giving in to peer pressure to show ourselves naked, while it seems no-one cares about seeing our naked face.

The study, from Chrysler Ypsilon, also revealed that one in four women hide their ‘true self’ from a new partner for fear of being dumped – with most not feeling truly comfortable until six months of being in a relationship.

This is really sad.

You should be yourself from day one of meeting someone and if they don’t like it, they can stick it. You are who you are and you shouldn’t change for anyone.
