Amber Tamblyn wears a yellow dress to her star-studded wedding

Brightly colored autumn leaves were the backdrop for Amber Tamblyn's rustic weekend wedding, so it was fitting that the bride opted for an equally bold hue for her dress: yellow!

When the "House M.D." actress married actor David Cross, 48, in upstate New York on October 6, she arrived at the ceremony in a red canoe. Clutching a yellow bouquet, Tamblyn, 29, was escorted by her father, actor Russ Tamblyn — and they were both barefoot for their walk down the aisle. Tamblyn and her much older beau, whom she has been dating since 2008, then exchanged vows in front of about 100 guests. After saying "I do," Tamblyn — who got her start on TV's "General Hospital" — threw her arms up in the air in celebration.

Questlove captured photos of the star-studded event, which he shared on Twitter with the hash tag #weddinginthewoods. There to witness the nuptials were Tamblyn's "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" costars — Blake Lively, America Ferrera, and Alexis Bledel. And, yes, Lively — who looked like she should have been in a Ralph Lauren ad, dressed in a plaid blazer and scarf — brought her new husband, Ryan Reynolds, whom she married in September. Other guests — who were invited to camp out for the weekend — included Amy Poehler, Jason Ritter, and Kristen Schaal. Poehler, who recently announced her split from Will Arnett, seemed to be having a great time and had on a big smile while posing for a photo with Ferrera.

During the reception, guests danced up a storm to tunes from the band Yo La Tengo, then Questlove stepped in as deejay. Tamblyn and Cross hit the dance floor — and she was twirling around in her yellow dress. The form-fitting gown, which was short sleeved, featured a low-cut front with lace detailing. The bottom had a slight flare and a short train.

Their wedding cake seemed to match Tamblyn and Cross' quirky personalities. It was a three-tier cheesecake. The topper featured two foxes — the one representing Cross had on an Atlanta Braves hat — and they were clutching a heart with their initials.

Tamblyn and Cross, who both appeared in his series "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret," have several new projects coming up. Cross is hard at work filming "Arrested Development," while Tamblyn next appears in the Quentin Tarantino film "Django Unchained," which will be out over the holidays.
