» This $200M Stretch of Sand Comes Sans Housen

The mansion where recently deceased pop queen Whitney Houston endured drug addiction and an abusive marriage is now for sale as a private listing after floating on and off the market for a couple of years.

Currently priced at $1.75M, the 12,600-square-foot spread is only being shown to pre-approved buyers who've got $1.5M in liquid assets.

The living room comes with a lovely, round view of the yard.

Don't worry though, the old photos from the original $2.5M listing (its ask when it was first listed in 2009) are still floating around and they show a contemporary-style spread with tile floors, plenty of windows, and unique curved walls.

The dining room in this modern home overlooks a lovely garden.

As if this house needed any more star power, it was featured on the Bravo reality series "Being Bobby Brown," a show that featured the then-married couple.

The house isn't going up for sale because of her death.....It was first listed in 2009 for $2.5M since then it has gone down in price for $1.75M.

In our society we put down addicts, and look down on them. We treat them like the #$%$ of the earth. They are sad people who need help. Whitney Houston is portrayed as a saint, think of all the other addicts who die. They are alone, by many thought better off dead. I don't think of her as any different. In fact she had more and better oportunities to get quality help for her addiction.

What a gorgeous looking home. To have somewhere so beautiful to live and not appreciate it is a crying shame.

someone did drugs and was badly beaten up in that house! I'd rather buy a average house that was full of laughter and happines and love.

How do you know what went on in a house that is up for sale unless the owner(s) have been in the news or a murder has been committed there.

1.5 million is a more realist price. the housing market has over inflated its prices right across the board to false values, reality is now setting in, prices adjusting to what they should be. I remember seeing a 2 bedroom shack in the city for 350,000 totally nuts

Big houses, money, fancy cars never made anyone happy. Peace of mind and satisfaction are the keys to the happiness.

To have such a privileged life, a god send gift, then blow it sky high with drugs, and alcohol, and to top it off, married a guy that is abusive., and the daughter is following suit, with taking crap.........its a crying shame.....so basically - all the money in the world doesn't make a person happy......!! $1.75 mil...no thanks, it'll cost a fortune just to maintain it... RIP Whitney!!
