Week two of our taste test! Today, everyone in the office hit the 3 p.m. wall. What better way to cool off and combat mid-afternoon fatigue than with a delicious (blended, not stirred) iced coffee?
This Week's Competitors:
Tim Horton's Iced Cap (m) $2.98
Starbucks Coffee Frappuccino (tall) $3.45
Timothy's Espresso Chill (m) $4.19
Second Cup Icepresso (m) $4.63 [large size pictured here - free upgrade!]
The Results:
Tim's Iced Cap: Very sweet; more like a milkshake than a coffee.
Starbucks Frap: Milky and sweet with a slight coffee taste.
Timothy's Chill: Strong coffee taste. Did we detect cinnamon?
Second Cup Icepresso: Distinct coffee taste with a side of sweetness.
The iVillage Canada Favourite:
Undecided! Four voted; two chose Timothy's Espresso Chill, two Second Cup's Icepresso. Though it should be noted our blind taste-test administrator (and brand-loyal editor) would only try the Starbucks Frap--and thoroughly enjoyed it.
