It has been blazing hot the past few days in and around the iVillage Canada offices (temperatures in low 30s feeling like 40s!) Naturally, we felt the need to beat the heat--and indulge our urge for a treat.
Ice cream sandwiches to the rescue! We bought packages, rather than individuals, because these simple yet sweet chocolate and vanilla numbers are great to keep in the freezer for after (or at!) work and weekend snacks.
This Week's Competitors:
No Name Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwiches (pack of 24!) $8.99
Nestle Skinny Cow Vanilla Sandwiches (pack of 4) $6.97
Popsicle Minis Snack Sized Sandwiches (pack of 10 minis) $2.99
Klondike Classic Vanilla Sandwiches (pack of 4) $6.99
The Results:
No Name Sandwiches: Great value. The crunchy, not chewy, chocolate was surprising but overall decent taste.
Skinny Cow: Very soft and chewy. Bonus points for prettiness!
Popsicle Minis: Perfect for kids' tiny hands
Klondike: Delicious vanilla ice cream centre & chewy chocolate cookies. A bit on the messy side.
The iVillage Canada Winner:
Klondike Classic Vanilla Sandwiches!
