We’re taking a mini-break from the junk food this week at iVillage Canada – between the chips, popcorn, and our recent ice cream sandwich and breakfast sandwich taste offs, we’ve been feeling a little over-indulgent! So, in the spirit of healthier food choices, we opted to try out a popular breakfast and snack food: Greek yogurt.
Here are the competitors:
Danone Oikos, Vanilla, 2%, $4.99
Liberté, Greek, 0%, $4.97
President’s Choice, Greek with Honey, 0%, $3.99
Western, Plain, No Fat, $3.99
The Results:
Danone Oikos: Rich and creamy, with a soft vanilla flavour; it's almost like dessert!
Liberté: Smooth and tart, this one would be great with some fresh berries on top.
President’s Choice: Has a full, creamy texture with a delicious honey flavour. Very Mediterranean.
Western: Our only regular yogurt, it has a thinner consistency with a refreshing, tart finish.
iVillage Canada Winner:
Danone Oikos, Vanilla!
