Designer Rad Hourani reveals the news of his upcoming couture show in Paris
Canadian-bred designer Rad Hourani has revealed that he'll be marking his fifth year as a designer in a major way-he'll be presenting a unisex haute couture collection during the week of shows in Paris this July.
The collection will reflect Hourani's genderless, seasonless approach to fashion, but will up the versatility ante by also being reversible. The show will also mark the first ever unisex couture collection. While Hourani is not (yet) on the official couture calendar, he is showing as an official guest of the Chambre syndicale de la haute couture, the group that officiates fashion house's couture collections. After four years as a guest, designers can be asked to be made an official member.
Our prediction for the collection? Expect plenty of dark, moody shades, ultra-luxurious slinky fabrics, and hints of leather. Hourani's couture collection joins his eponymous label, as well as his diffusion line, Rad by Rad Hourani.
