After last being seen in head-to-toe designer (including a $77,000 Cartier necklace), Kate Middleton's outfit seemed to be a bit of an exercise in contrast, donning a $55 Hobbs frock. Middleton wore the dress to announce her newly-launched charitable initiative, a partnership with Greenhouse which will improve the quality of sports and coaching in schools and communities, along with Prince William and Harry.

The Duchess was spotted greeting the Olympic torch at Buckingham Palace, in a pair of royal blue skinny jeans from Zara and a simple white Team GB polo (a similarly themed colour palette as her Stella McCartney ensemble seen last week).

While we've had our fingers crossed that Kate Middleton would wear something by Londoner Christopher Kane for some time, truthfully, we had a difficult time imagining the Duchess in one of the designer's mix-and-clash creations. However, it seems that Middleton has found her stride in a shiny satin mint green coat dress by Kane, similar to the hues we saw in his Resort collection, which she wore to the Olympic Opening Ceremonies in London. The Duchess also squashed recent pregnancy rumours by sipping on champagne.
