Designer, mother and president of the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) Diane von Furstenberg ranked highest amongst a top roster of leading women from around the world Forbes Magazine's annual list of the most powerful women. The glossy placed DVF in slot #33 beating out fellow designer Miuccia Prada (#67), supermodel Gisele Bundchen (#83) and Vogue editor Anna Wintour (#51). Michelle Obama (#7), Oprah Winfrey (#11) and even Lady Gaga (#14) landed top spots while actresses Angelina Jolie (#66) and Sofia Vergara (#75) rounded out the hot 100. Entertainers Beyonce Knowles (#32), Jennifer Lopez (#38) and Shakira (#40) made the cut but there was no sight of one influencer: Kate Middleton. Between globetrotting and crowd watching, we're not surprised to see the Duchess off the list since she's kept her charity work to a minimum so far. Luckily the magazine's included a brief section of honourable mentions including Middleton, Spanx founder Sara Blakely, Girls creator Lena Dunham and Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence.
