Cupcake bras, glittery film reel bras, rotating peppermint bras – all costume favourites of pop singer Katy Perry. But her investors fear her dazzling tour wardrobe may be hazardous to her health.
Perry’s concert insurers have reportedly asked her to quit sporting the rotating bras, in fear of her hair getting caught in the wheels and causing high levels of neck strain – something that has happened before during a show. And yet, in typical showbiz fashion, the ‘Teenage Dream’ show had to go on.
“My hair got caught in the wheels of my spinning peppermint bra and began to coil around and around,” said Perry to The Sun. “I’m forced to just go with it so, by the end of the song, it looked quite like I was licking my own tit. What a girl does for her art.”
The singer’s tour documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me, which she self-financed for $2 million, is currently in theatres. It features tons of behind-the-scenes footage, intimate moments and, you guessed it, spinning bras
