By now we all know what Kate Middleton wore on her wedding day: an Alexander McQueen gown and shoes, Robinson Pelham diamond earrings from her parents, and a borrowed Cartier diamond tiara from Queen Elizabeth. We also know that Middleton's hair was styled by James Pryce and Richard Ward, that she did her own makeup, and that she chose Essie's pale pink Allure nail polish for her manicure. But one question has gone unanswered until now: what did Kate Middleton smell like as she walked down the aisle?!

OK, when we put it that way it sounds a little creepy, but we're sure the fragrance the new Duchess of Cambridge chose to wear at the royal wedding is sure to sell out. Her perfume choice: White Gardenia Petals by Illuminum. It's an English brand founded by Michael Boadi, a former celeb hairstylist, which currently boasts 16 fragrances in the collection.

First lady Michelle Obama is also a fan, and purchased three different Illunimum scents back in 2009.

Here is the description of White Gardenia Petals, per  illuminumperfume.com:

"As fragrant as a vase of white flowers, quivering in the breeze by an open window, this is a delicate and refined perfume. The top note of Lilly evokes a tropical seaside location, whilst the heart notes of White Gardenia, Muguet and Jasmine bring a trio of white flowers into play. Amber Wood underscores this light and capricious bouquet."
