Christian Louboutin's new eight-inch heels
We've seem some treacherous high heels, but would you be able to walk in these stilettos by Christian Louboutin? The eight-inch heels are inspired by ballet slippers and are getting auctioned off along with other designer items to raise money for the English National Ballet. They recently had their budget cut by $3.2 million.

These silk shoes are covered in Swarovski crystals and feature Louboutin's signature red soles. The Daily Mail has printed a photo of a ballerina modeling them. So far this is the only pair, but as interest grows perhaps they will be made for retail purposes.
"I could not help being inspired by English National Ballet... after all... isn’t the classical dancing ballet slipper the ultimate heel? Louboutin himself told the Daily Mail. "The heel which makes dancers closer than any other women to the sky, closer to heaven!"

The Summer Party silent auction—which also features ballet-related fashion items by designers like Erdem, Giles Deacon, and Moschino—ends at 10:30pm tonight.
