Ten-year-old boy teaches men how to be a gentleman

Ten-year-old Cole Nowlin has a message for young adult men: Grow up.

Learn how to treat a woman properly because 63 per cent of university-aged women are looking for their future husbands. And unless you learn how to hold doors and pick up the tab, you won't be one of the lucky ones.

Child actor Cole Nowlin is the shining star in an amateur video called "The Extra Mile" created by University of Missouri students Dan Woodward, Clint Cannon and Nam Cu.

Cole opens his sermon with, "Now I may be a kid, but I'm a gentleman in the making."

Then, he proceeds to tell university-aged men that they suck at being a gentleman.

"Be thoughtful, take her out. Don't forget your wallet, cheapskate."

Pull out her chair. Open her door. Hold her hand.

"But don't just be a nice date, be a nice guy. When you are nice to others, you feel good."

"Make George Clooney proud, and be the knight in shining armor every woman wants you to be."

Cole's delivery is so sweet one might overlook the fact that he points out the most obvious of gentlemanly tips, nothing even the daftest sorts shouldn't know.

So while not the most practical video, it does serve as a poignant reminder to young lads.

Do you care about your future? Cause if so, snatch up that hottie in your biology class before you're left with a 13 hour day job in a lonely city and no prospects of meeting another one like her.
