What started out as a fun day of movie-making for a young couple, turned into a surprise marriage proposal for 25-year-old April Allbritton.

Her filmmaker boyfriend convinced her to make a video about their relationship and ended up surprising her with a marriage proposal during their creative antics.

"I love to make movies and when I started dating April she also expressed that she likes to make videos," Beecher Reuning, 23, tells The Blaze.

The pair starting creating quirky videos together shortly after they began dating. So when Reuning was dreaming up ways to propose to Allbritton, he hoped to catch her off guard by proposing to her while they were acting in one.

"I thought what better way than to capture [the proposal] on four different cameras, so that we could always look back," Reuning explains to Fox and Friends.

Reuning says he knew after just eight months of dating Allbritton she was the one for him.

It turns out, their proposal video was a huge success. Not only did Allbritton say "yes", but she was completely surprised.

The video, posted to YouTube earlier this month, chronicles their relationship by reenacting scenes of their lives at significant places they visited together. It starts off sweet enough by recanting the day they met at Regent University and ends with a trip to a church they both attend. It was there that Reuning surprised her by getting down one knee with an engagement ring in hand.

"I had no idea," Allbritton recalls of the fateful day last month. "I was in actor mode. So when I walked through the door and saw he was low on the ground, I thought, 'What is he doing? He is going to ruin the shot.'"

Luckily, the shot was certainly not ruined. The couple plan to wed this coming summer.
