Paula Deen releases a new line of butter, y’all

It's a match made in saturated-fat heaven.

After what has been called "a weak attempt at rebranding herself as 'healthy,'" following her Type 2 diabetes diagnosis and 40-pound weight loss, Paula Deen is back doing what she does best: butter.

The Food Network's "Queen of Butter," is releasing her own line of flavoured finishing butters to be sold at Walmart and Walgreens.

The butters will come in five flavours: Southern Grillin’ Butter, The Lemon Dill Butter, The European Style Butter, Sweet Citrus Zest Butter and Garden Herb Butter.

Deen's PR team is spinning these finishing butters as healthy, as they "let cooks bring a wonderful fresh butter taste to various dishes while just adding butter to the end of the cooking process."

"I know you’re going to find this heard to believe, but I’ve been trying to cook with less butter…I’m trying not to use butter during the cooking process. I wait til the end, and then I put the finishing butter on it," Deen said during a cooking demonstration on the Today Show yesterday.

"My grilling butter is amazing on steak, fish, shrimp or shellfish, its great on potatoes or pasta – it goes with everything," Deen writes on her website.

Deen's new product line will also include all-natural tortilla chips made from fresh vegetables and premium and sugar-free chocolates.

Some of the proceeds will be donated to her charity, The Bag Lady Foundation, which serves women and families in need.

"It is such an honor to be able to not only let the everyday cook bring special fresh meals, quality ingredients and great-tasting snacks to their tables to share with their friends and families, but it is an overwhelming joy to able to give back to communities across the country through The Bag Lady Foundation," Deen says in a statement. "It is my dream that in the years to come, I’ll be inspiring the next great cooks to enjoy the best ingredients and products available today with their families, friends and those they love."

Yes, a pat of flavoured butter at the end of making dinner is healthier than sautéing your meal in an entire stick of the magical ingredient, but Deen's new product line probably won't make us forget that she's the one who brought us the amazing Lady's Brunch Burger.
